A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH PAKPOUR CONSULTING GROUP, INC. FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE DIABLO VISTA WATER SYSTEM 12” MAIN REHABILITATION PHASE II PROJECT NO. PSC-02-22
WHEREAS, the Diablo Vista Water System 12” Main Rehabilitation Phase II Project is identified in the approved Capital Improvement Plan FY2022-2027; and WHEREAS, the Diablo Vista Water System Rehabilitation Phase II Project provides for the rehabilitation of 725 linear feet of 12” main located within the Contra Costa Canal (United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR)) right-of-way, and between Oakvue Road and Roberta Avenue.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant Hill desires to utilize the professional services of Pakpour Consulting Group, Inc. for construction inspection services for the Diablo Vista Water System 12” Main Rehabilitation Phase II Project; and
WHEREAS, the new facilities will be located on the same sites and have the same purpose and capacity of the current system. Therefore, the Zoning Administrator has determined that the project is categorically exempt from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to California Code of Regulations Title 14, Chapter 3, Section 15301 as a Class 1 categorical exemption and Section 15302 as a Class 2 categorical exemption; and WHEREAS, Pakpour Consulting Group, Inc. has submitted a proposal to the Maintenance Division which is determined to be complete and acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill as follows:
1. Authorizes the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement (attached as Exhibit 1) approved by the City Attorney with Pakpour Consulting Group, Inc. for construction inspection services for the Diablo Vista Water System 12” Main Rehabilitation Phase II Project in an amount not to exceed $32,414.
2. Authorizes a fifteen percent (15%) Professional Services contingency in the amount of $4,865.
