Mayor Flaherty called a Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 PM, complete proceedings of which were electronically recorded. The meeting was a hybrid of both in person and teleconferenced attendees. The meeting agenda was posted on the City Hall outdoor bulletin board at 100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA on January 27, 2023, by Deputy City Clerk Juanita Davalos.

Mayor Flaherty stated that the City Council had adjourned from a closed session and there was nothing to report.
4. ACTION CALENDAR
4.1 Determine the Appointment Process to Fill the City Council Vacancy The following members of the public appeared by teleconference to make a comment:

Karen Yapp
Councilmembers deliberated on the appointment process to fill the City Council vacancy. A vote was taken on whether to interview all eleven applicants.
AYES: Noack
NOES: Rinn, Shess, Flaherty
Councilmembers continued to discuss the appointment process and provided directions to staff for the next regular City Council meeting to be held on February 6, 2023.
10. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Flaherty adjourned the meeting at 8:02 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
