A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
ACCEPTING THE GREGORY GARDENS STORM DRAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT NO. 03-21 AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAINTENANCE
SUPERINTENDENT TO ISSUE AND RECORD A NOTICE OF COMPLETION WHEREAS, the Gregory Gardens Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project 03-21 provides for the removal of approximately 700 linear feet of a private corrugated metal pipe (CMP) storm drain system and replacement with a new, public storm drain pipeline in the Gregory Gardens neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, on January 24, 2022, the City Council awarded a contract to Kerex Engineering, Inc. to perform work described in the contract documents entitled Gregory Gardens Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project No. 03-21; and
WHEREAS, the work, including all change order work, has been performed to the satisfaction of the City and Kerex Engineering, Inc. is requesting final payment for the completed work; and
WHEREAS, the California Public Contract Code requires the City to notify the public of acceptance of a project prior to making a final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill finds that the work performed as Gregory Gardens Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project No. 03-21 is complete to the satisfaction of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill authorizes the allocation of $85,120.92 from the Measure K fund to the NPDES Storm Drain Fund; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Maintenance Superintendent is authorized to execute a Notice of Completion and record it with the Office of the Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, within ten (10) days from the date thereof.
