RESOLUTION NO. ___-23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
PROCLAIMING THE TERMINATION OF THE LOCAL STATE OF EMERGENCY DUE TO NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (“COVID-19”)
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 22-20 confirming the existence of the local emergency due to COVID-19 in the City of Pleasant Hill proclaimed by the City’s Director of Emergency Services on March 18, 2020, and
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of California issued a press release on October 17, 2022 stating that the State’s COVID-19 State of Emergency will terminate on February 28, 2023; and
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2023, the Contra Costa County (“County”) Board of Supervisors adopted an order terminating the County’s COVID-19 State of Emergency effective February 28, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the situation resulting from the described conditions of extreme peril is now deemed to be within the control of the normal protective services, personnel, equipment, and facilities of and within the City of Pleasant Hill.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill, State of California, does hereby proclaim the termination of said local emergency.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of February, 2023, by the following vote:
