A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
APPROVING THE APPROPRIATION OF MEASURE K FUNDS TO FUND THE RESURFACING OF RESIDENTIAL ZONE 17 AS PART OF THE 2022 STREET RESURFACING PROJECT NO. PSC-01-22 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAINTENANCE
SUPERINTENDENT TO EXECUTE A CONSTRUCTION CHANGE ORDER WITH MCK SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the FY 2022 – 2027 Capital Improvement Plan which includes the Street Resurfacing Program as a funded project; and WHEREAS, the 2022 Street Resurfacing Project No. PSC-01-22 provides for the repair of asphalt failure, ADA curb ramp installation, limited curb, gutter and valley gutter replacement, Full Depth Reclamation, asphalt concrete overlay, monument preservation and final striping in two residential neighborhoods and two collector streets within the City of Pleasant Hill; and WHERAS, Engineering staff has determined that Residential Zone 17 would benefit from a resurfacing treatment; and
WHEREAS, the resurfacing of Residential Zone 17 is identified in the City’s five year Street Resurfacing Program; and
WHEREAS, Maintenance staff has determined there is available budget in Fund 3, the Measure K fund to include the resurfacing of Residential Zone 17 in the 2022 Street Resurfacing Project No. PSC-01-22.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill as follows:
1. An appropriation of $1,100,000 from the Measure K Fund to the Street Resurfacing Fund is authorized for the resurfacing of Residential Zone 17.
2. The Maintenance Superintendent is authorized to execute a construction change order for the resurfacing of Residential Zone 17 with MCK Services Inc., as part of the 2022 Street Resurfacing Project No. PSC-01-22 at the unit prices set forth in the bid. [Signatures on the Following Page]
