RESOLUTION NO. -23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL ESTABLISHING THE PROPOSITION 4 APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIIIB OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant Hill is required to establish the Proposition 4 Appropriations Limit pursuant to Article XIIIB of the California Constitution for fiscal year 2023/2024; and
WHEREAS, the population of Contra Costa County declined 0.36% in 2023 and the State per capita personal income grew 4.44%; and
WHEREAS, the Proposition 4 Appropriations Limit for fiscal year 2022/2023 was calculated to be $36,041,538; and
WHEREAS, the fiscal year 2023/2024 revenues that represent the proceeds from taxes covered by the Proposition 4 Appropriations Limit are projected to be $7,155,701 below the Proposition 4 Appropriations Limit.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill that the Proposition 4 Appropriations Limit for fiscal year 2023/2024 is $37,506,272.
