NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

MISCELLANEOUS ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS
Citywide, City of Pleasant Hill
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Pleasant Hill that the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed zoning ordinance amendment to various sections of the Pleasant Hill Zoning Ordinance and an associated amendment to the Pleasant Hill business license regulations. The proposed amendment would affect the following areas of the Municipal Code:
Section 18.15.070, Temporary Use Classifications
Section 18.20.020, Residential Land Use Regulations
Section 18.20.030 and Section 18.20.040, Residential Development Regulations Section 18.20.040.I, Additional Development Regulations – Fences and Walls Section 18.25.020, Commercial Land Use Regulations
Section 18.25.030 and Section 18.25.040, Commercial Development Regulations Section 18.50.110, Tree Preservation
Chapter 18.55, Off-Street Parking and Loading Regulations Chapter 18.60, Signs
Section 18.65.030, Nonconforming Structures
Section 18.85.010, Zoning Permits & associated Section 5.05.240.O, Business Licenses Exempt Activities Section 18.115.020, Approval Authority of Architectural Review Permits Chapter 18.140.010, Definitions
Other conforming amendments to the zoning ordinance for the topics listed above Pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the Guidelines for the Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) of 1970, as amended, the lead agency has determined that the proposed activity is exempt from CEQA.
The City, as the lead agency, has determined with certainty that the proposed activity will not have a significant effect on the environment, as the proposed amendments are intended to comply with applicable State provisions, streamline implementation and administration of the zoning ordinance, correct inconsistencies, and clarify ambiguities.
The PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the CITY COUNCIL starting at 7:00 p.m. on MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2023, in the CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, City Hall, at 100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill and through Video/Teleconference via Zoom Conference Meetings. Interested persons, both in-person and those participating through Zoom, will be heard at this time at the meeting. More information on how to participate via zoom, including providing live comments during the meeting, will be provided on the posted City Council Agenda.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN pursuant to Government Code Section 65009(B) that, if this matter is subsequently challenged in Court by you or others, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else has raised at a Public Hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Pleasant Hill at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
