RESOLUTION NO. -23
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL ACCEPTING THE 2022 STREET RESURFACING PROJECT NO. PSC-01-22 AS COMPLETE
AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS MANAGER TO ISSUE AND RECORD A
NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the 2022 Street Resurfacing Project No. PSC-01-22 provides for the full depth reclamation, asphalt concrete overlay, and thermoplastic striping of various residential and collector streets in the City of Pleasant Hill; and
WHEREAS, on September 12, 2022, the City Council awarded a contract to MCK Services, Inc. to perform work described in the contract documents entitled 2022 Street Resurfacing Project No. PSC-01-22; and
WHEREAS, the work has been performed to the satisfaction of the City and MCK Services, Inc. is requesting final payment for the completed work; and WHEREAS, the California Public Contract Code requires the City to notify the public of acceptance of a project prior to making a final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill finds that the work performed as 2022 Street Resurfacing Project No. PSC-01-22 is complete to the satisfaction of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill orders that all project streets identified on project list of streets (attached) are subject to a five-year street pavement moratorium effective the date of this resolution; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Public Works Manager is authorized to execute a Notice of Completion and record it with the Office of the Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, within ten (10) days from the date thereof.
