DEFINITIONS

SYNOPSIS
The City is proposing amendments to various sections of the City’s Zoning Ordinance (Pleasant Hill Municipal Code (PHMC) Title 18) and related changes to business license regulations (PHMC Title 5). The proposed ordinance includes amendments necessary to comply with changes in state law, changes based on past City determinations, as well as staff-initiated revisions proposed to clarify and streamline various sections of the Zoning Ordinance. The proposed ordinance was introduced at a public hearing held on August 7, 2023, and is now submitted for a second reading and consideration for adoption.

Public contact was made through posting of the City Council agenda on the City’s official notice bulletin board, at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center, and at the Pleasant Hill Police Department. The agenda, staff report, and attachments are posted on the City’s webpage.

RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION
Adopt the ordinance.
