SUBJECT: ADOPT ORDINANCE NO.___ AMENDING PLEASANT HILL
MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 18.67, WIRELESS
TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES, AND RELATED
AMENDMENTS TO SECTION 18.85.010, ZONING PERMIT PURPOSE
AND APPLICABILITY, SECTION 18.95.020, USE PERMIT APPROVAL AUTHORITY, AND CHAPTER 18.140, DEFINITIONS
SYNOPSIS
An amendment to the existing Wireless Telecommunications Facilities Ordinance (Chapter
18.67) is proposed to comply with recent modifications to federal and state law, related to processing wireless telecommunications facility applications. Associated conforming changes are also proposed to Section 18.85.010 (purpose and applicability for zoning permits), Section
18.95.020 (approval authority for use permits), and Section 18.140 (definitions). The proposed ordinance was introduced at a public hearing held on October 2, 2023, and is now submitted for a second reading and consideration for adoption.
RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION
Adopt the Ordinance.
