RESOLUTION NO. ___-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL DIRECTING THE PREPARATION AND FILING OF FISCAL YEAR 2024/2025 ANNUAL REPORT FOR ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 20 (COMMERCIAL AREA LANDSCAPE AND LIGHTING)
AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HARRIS AND ASSOCIATES, INC.
WHEREAS, on August 1, 1988, by Resolution No. 75-88, the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill ordered the formation of and levied the first assessment within Assessment District No. 20, City of Pleasant Hill, Contra Costa County, State of California (the "District"), pursuant to the provisions of the Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972 (commencing at Section 22500 of the California Streets and Highways Code herein referred to as "the Act"); and
WHEREAS, the District was amended in 1999 by creating a new zone (Zone 6) that includes the Downtown area; and
WHEREAS, Section 22620 et seq., of the Act provides for the levy of annual assessments after the formation of the District; and
WHEREAS, within the District, the existing and proposed improvements and any substantial changes proposed to be made to existing improvements are generally described as the installation, servicing and maintenance of public landscape and street lighting; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill that Harris and Associates, Inc. is designated as Engineer of Work for purposes of the District, and is hereby ordered to prepare and file the Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2024/2025 that begins July 1, 2024, in accordance with Section 22565 et seq. of the Act.
AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Harris and Associates, Inc. (Exhibit 1) in an amount not to exceed $21,688.75.
