RESOLUTION NO. -24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH PARK ENGINEERING, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION
MANAGEMENT, INSPECTION, AND MATERIAL TESTING SERVICES FOR THE
CONTRA COSTA BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (VIKING DRIVE TO HARRIET DRIVE) PROJECT NO. 02-23.
WHEREAS, the Contra Costa Boulevard Improvement Project (Viking Drive to Harriet Drive) Project No. 02-23 is identified in the FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) as a funded project; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to construct the Contra Costa Boulevard Improvement Project (Viking Drive to Harriet Drive), which will construct “complete streets" enhancements along Contra Costa Boulevard (CCB) between Viking Drive and Harriet Drive to improve access and safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, transit riders, and vehicles along the Project corridor; and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant Hill desires to utilize the professional services of Park Engineering, Inc. for construction management, inspection, and material testing services for the Contra Costa Boulevard Project (Viking Drive to Harriet Drive) WHEREAS, Park Engineering Inc. has submitted a statement of qualifications to the Engineering Division, which is determined to be complete and acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill to authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement (Exhibit 1), in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Park Engineering, Inc. for construction management, inspection, and material testing services for the Contra Costa Boulevard Improvement Project (Viking Drive to Harriet Drive) in an amount not to exceed $400,000.
