RESOLUTION NO. -24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL APPROVING THE LONG-TERM FINANCIAL PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024/2025 THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2028/2029
WHEREAS, when the City Council updated its goals in September 2013, it adopted the objective to “establish a long-term financial plan” as part of the goal of a “City that is financially sound;” and WHEREAS, the City published its first long-term financial plan (LTFP) in August 2015; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the LTFP is to create awareness regarding the financial challenges and opportunities that the City could possibly face and to inform the City’s financial and operational decision-making, in order to account for such possibilities; and WHEREAS, City staff worked with the Budget Committee to identify the major challenges and opportunities that the City is likely to face in the future; and WHEREAS, the Budget Committee reviewed the preliminary draft LTFP, provided direction to staff, approved the draft LFTP, and forwarded it to the City Council with a recommendation to approve; and
WHEREAS, staff is now presenting for City Council’s consideration and approval the proposed Long-Term Financial Plan for Fiscal Year 2024/2025 through Fiscal Year 2028/2029 (Exhibit 1), which incorporates the Budget Committee’s direction; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill that the Long-Term Financial Plan for Fiscal Year 2024/2025 through Fiscal Year 2028/2029 is hereby approved.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of May, 2024, by the following vote:
