A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A RENEWAL AGREEMENT WITH AXON ENTERPRISES, INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF AXON’S BODY-WORN CAMERAS AND CONTINUED USE OF AXON’S DIGITAL EVIDENCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, for the last five years, the Pleasant Hill Police Department has had an agreement with Axon Enterprises, Inc. for the use of their body-worn cameras and digital evidence management system; and
WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill Police Department also utilizes other products made by Axon Enterprises, Inc., which include the interview room recording system and tasers; and WHEREAS, Axon Enterprises, Inc. is the leader in the body-worn camera industry; and WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill Police Department desires to continue using Axon’s body-worn cameras and digital evidence management system, as Axon products are proprietary and are designed to integrate with each other;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill authorizes the City Manager to execute a renewal agreement with Axon Enterprises, Inc. for the purchase of Axon’s body-worn cameras and continued use of Axon’s digital evidence management system in the amount of $265,947 to be paid in annual installments over five years.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill at a regular meeting of the Council held on the 5th day of August, 2024, by the following vote:
