A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF DELL
SERVERS, CISCO SERVER SWITCHES, AND VMWARE LICENSES THROUGH SABLE COMPUTERS, INC. (DBA, KIS)
WHEREAS, for the existing server infrastructure used by the City is more than eight years old, no longer covered by manufacturer warranty, and requires replacement; and WHEREAS, Dell, Cisco, and VMWare only offers their products through value-added resellers such as Sable Computers, Inc (dba KIS); and
WHEREAS, KIS has earned a good reputation in the industry and has supported City staff in various projects; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to procure Dell servers, Cisco server switches, and VMWare licenses through KIS; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill authorizes the City Manager to approve the purchase of Dell servers, Cisco server switches, and VMWare licenses through Sable Computers, Inc (dba KIS) in the amount not to exceed $341,233.
