f. Waiver of Subrogation. Consultant hereby agrees to waive subrogation which any insurer or contractor may require from Consultant by virtue of the payment of any loss. Consultant agrees to obtain any endorsements that may be necessary to effect this waiver of subrogation, but this provision applies regardless of whether or not the City has received a waiver of subrogation endorsement from the insurer.

RECOMMENDED WORKSHOPS
Holistic recommends the following training topics for City of Pleasant Hill:

Addressing Unconscious Biases Leadership Training
Addressing Unconscious Bias focuses on equipping employees with the necessary tools to identify, combat, and manage unconscious biases in the workplace to create a more equitable work experience for all. Specifically, this session focuses on increasing mindfulness and experience with addressing both our own implicit bias, and the bias of other employees from a position of leadership. Leaders have a tremendous amount of influence when it comes to the consequences of their own biases, as positions of power can enact change and guide the values of their whole jurisdiction. This training targets ways that this influence can be positively directed, explore how this concept influences daily interactions, and create a plan for addressing past and future instances of bias in action. The result is that employees feel equipped to prepare and practice for potential conversations pertaining to unconscious biases.

Executive DEI Goal-Setting Session
Demonstrating the value of diversity and inclusion to executive leadership and crafting a strategy for DEI through the lens of leadership can pose a major challenge to many organizations. By initiating an open dialogue in the right environment, companies can address DEI and benchmark their progress in a thoughtful and thorough fashion. This begins with understanding a company’s own set of initiatives and placing these practices in context with competitors, industry, and best practices.

Holistic acts as an external third party and catalyst that partners with companies to guide them through this process. Holistic’s CEO and Founder, Tom Alexander, works alongside our DEI Executive Mentor, closely to understand relevant issues. Through a series of pre-event research, both qualitative and quantitative, they are able to identify areas of struggle and gauge the current state of the company.

This allows them to facilitate a discussion and workshop session that lets leaders talk through key issues and concerns, devise creative and feasible ideas, and walk away with real action items involving the role of measurement to move the needle on employee engagement. powered by holistic

ASSOCIATE
Diandra Sarr
(She/They)
Operations Associate
Diandra undertook a few research opportunities,
particularly her time in a collaborative autoethnography research, where she and a team of former students and
supervisors investigated and conducted research on WOC
identity, feminism, womanism, and solidarity in WOC
educational spaces. She also received multiple trainings both as a student leader for Student Diversity Multicultural Affairs at Loyola University of Chicago and her time with the Network, where she conducted professional domestic
violence prevention and intervention training programs in the greater Chicago area. Through her skills in training curation and in combination with her studies as an
anthropology student, examining global processes in
diverse populations, she gained knowledge and technical skills in creating social justice programming, events,
workshops, and training. Thus, Diandra possesses an
informed understanding of unconscious bias, cultural
competence, microaggressions, belonging, and allyship,
where she aspires to implement better content and
facilitation training and streamline the business
development side of Holistic.

Dr. Tanjia Coleman
DEI Lead
Northshore University Medical Center
"I’ve worked with a lot of different engagement firms
in my career being part of Fortune 500
organizations. Holistic brings a fresh view point and
perspective to engagement because their
organization looks at each team member as a whole
individual not just a subset of who you are at work
but really who you are in the ecosystem of work and
your life. Holistic makes it their business to ensure
that all layers are unveiled to ensure all elements of
engagement are considered. They have created the
platform to access the culture and the impact on
team members from a holistic view point. This
ensures each team member is part of an
organization that is providing the best day-to-day
work experience for their team members and for
that I am eternally grateful."
