A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DESIGN PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LCC ENGINEERING & SURVEYING, INC. FOR DESIGN
ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE SHELLY DRIVE AND RUTH DRIVE STORM DRAIN
REHABILITATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, in November 2016, Pleasant Hill voters approved Local Measure K, a twentyyear, one-half cent transaction and use tax to address the infrastructure needs of the City; and WHEREAS, the 2018 Storm Drain Master Plan identified several corrugated metal pipes on Ruth Drive and Shelly Drive as priority for replacement; and WHEREAS, the FY 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Plan includes the Storm Drain Improvement Program (Project Number MK-002) that provides the upgrade and/or repair of existing storm drain facilities using Measure K funds and identified the Shelly Drive and Ruth Drive storm drain pipes as the next priorities; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to utilize the professional services of LCC Engineering & Surveying, Inc. for design engineering and preparation of plans and specifications for the Shelly Drive and Ruth Drive Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, LCC Engineering & Surveying, Inc. has submitted a proposal to the Engineering Division, which is complete and acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill:
1. Authorizes the City Manager to execute a Design Professional Services Agreement (Exhibit 1) with LCC Engineering & Surveying, Inc. for design engineering services for the Shelly Drive and Ruth Drive Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project in an amount not to exceed $134,956 from the Storm Drain Improvement Program.
2. Authorizes a fifteen percent (15%) Professional Design Services contingency in the amount of $20,243.
