A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO
THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MINTIER HARNISH FOR
PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FOR THE UPDATE OF THE CITY OF
PLEASANT HILL GENERAL PLAN, HOUSING ELEMENT AND ZONING ORDINANCE
AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the City has already completed a comprehensive update of the General Plan and Housing Element, including associated CEQA provisions; and WHEREAS, the City approved an initial agreement with Mintier Harnish for Planning and Environmental Services for the Update of the City of Pleasant Hill General Plan, Zoning Ordinance Amendment and necessary environmental review; and WHEREAS, the City approved an amended Agreement with Mintier Harnish for Planning and Environmental Services to include the completion of the 2023-2031 Housing Element due to additional tasks that were associated with multiple revisions and submittals to the State of California to achieve State certification of the 2023-2031 Housing Element extensive work to complete; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to amend the Agreement a second time to address mapping issues that were uncovered as part of the comprehensive rezoning and additional study sessions that were, and will be held, by the City Council on the comprehensive zoning ordinance update; and
WHEREAS, Mintier Harnish has submitted a proposal to the City of Pleasant Hill, which is complete and acceptable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill authorizes the City Manager to execute a second amendment to the existing Professional Services Agreement with Mintier Harnish, attached as Exhibit 1 for planning consulting services for the comprehensive zoning ordinance update in an amount not to exceed $34,000 for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,313,885.
