RESOLUTION NO. - 25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH SABLE COMPUTERS, INC. (DBA KIS) FOR THE PURCHASE OF PALO ALTO NETWORK
FIREWALLS INCLUDING FIVE YEARS OF SUPPORT
WHEREAS, the existing firewalls used by the City are nearing their end-of-life and require replacement; and
WHEREAS, replacing the firewalls with the latest models will enable continued support and ensure continued software updates from the manufacturer to protect the City’s internal networks from external threats; and
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Network firewalls are the leading firewalls in the industry; and WHEREAS, the California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS) cooperative purchasing agreement-based pricing satisfies the City’s purchasing policy for competitive bids; and WHEREAS, Sable Computers, Inc. (dba KIS) is the certified reseller of Palo Alto Network Firewalls,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill that the City Manager is authorized to execute the attached agreement (Exhibit A) with Sable Computers, Inc. (dba KIS) for the purchase of the latest Palo Alto Network firewalls with five years of support in the amount of $82,751.56.
