TITLE: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO.__-25 APPROVING THE 2026 CITY
COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING CALENDAR
DISCUSSION
Background
In accordance with Chapter 2.05.010 of the Municipal Code, “City Council Meetings – Place of Meeting,” the regular meetings of the council shall be held on the first and third Mondays of each month. However, in the event the first or third Monday is an official city holiday, the meeting shall be held on the Monday immediately following the holiday or as otherwise designated by the city council.
Analysis
On December 1, 2025, the City Council appointed Zac Shess as Mayor for the 2025-2026 year.
Mayor Shess reviewed the proposed City Council meeting calendar and recommended, in consideration of the New Year’s Day holiday, as well as staff and Council availability, that the Monday, January 5, 2026 meeting be rescheduled for Monday, January 12, 2026.
All additional meeting dates follow the natural designation of the City Council Rules and Procedures.

Public Contact was made through posting of the City Council agenda on the City’s official notice bulletin board, at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center, and at the Pleasant Hill Police Department. The agenda and staff report are posted on the City’s web page.
