The following is the City Council meeting schedule proposed by Mayor Shess and approved by the City Council for 2026:

In accordance with the City Council Rules and Procedures “Time and Place of City Council Meetings,” the City Council regular meetings are scheduled on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. When the date falls on a holiday, the meeting is held the following Monday.
City holiday dates in 2026 are: Thursday, January 1; Monday, January 19; Thursday, February 12; Monday, February 16; Monday, May 25; Friday, June 19; Monday, July 6; Monday, September 7; Monday, October 12; Wednesday, November 11; Thursday & Friday, November 26 & 27; and Thursday & Friday, December 24 & 25. * Usually, one meeting is cancelled in July, date to be determined. ** Tentatively cancelled unless needed. Dates are usually back-to-back weeks with another meeting.
*** Reorganizations occur at the first meeting in December on non-election years or at the first meeting after the County Elections office certifies results on election years, which may or may not occur before the first meeting in December.
