RESOLUTION NO. - 25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER THE USE OF PUBLIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND
GOVERNMENTAL (PEG) FUND TO PURCHASE BROADCASTING EQUIPMENT AND
COMPENSATE CONTRA COSTA TELEVISION FOR SHARED CAPITAL EXPENSES WHEREAS, the City’s current fiscal year budget does not include any appropriations for the use of the PEG Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to replace its control board used in the Council Chambers for public broadcasting; and
WHEREAS, the City has an agreement with Contra Costa County Television to share the County’s capital expenses needed for broadcasting the City’s public programming; and WHEREAS, both the control board replacement and the capital reimbursement to the County meet the criteria for expenditure from the PEG Fund; WHEREAS, the Budget Committee met on November 5, 2025, and reviewed the item and recommended approval to the City Council for the control board replacement and the capital reimbursement to the County; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill hereby authorizes the City Manager to appropriate $19,276.87 from the PEG Fund to purchase broadcasting equipment and compensate Contra Costa County Television for shared capital expenses.
