SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
December 15, 2022
This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom' s Executive Order N- 29- 20 and AB 361 COV/ D- 19 pandemic protocols.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Brown called the special joint meeting of the City Council and Planning Commission to order at the hour of 7:02 p.m. from the Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue and via Zoom.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Narum, Testa, Mayor Brown
Absent: None
Present: Commissioners Jain ( Alternate), Mohan, Morgan, Nibert, Chair Pace
Absent: Commissioner Gaidos
PUBLIC COMMENT
1. Receive an update on the Stoneridge Mall Framework and consider conceptual development scenarios
Recommendation: 1) Receive an update on the Stoneridge Mall Framework; and 2) consider and provide direction regarding the conceptual development scenarios.
Ellen Clark, Community Development Director, Shweta Bonn, Senior Planner, Mike Tassano, City Traffic Engineer, and Rick Williams, consultant with Van Meter Williams Pollack, presented the item and responded to questions from the City Council and Planning Commission.
Mayor Brown opened the public hearing. The following individuals provided comment: Chuck Davis, Stephen Logan, Alan Chamorro.
Mayor Brown closed the public hearing.
All members of the Planning Commission and City Council provided comments focusing on Conceptual Scenario 1: Scattered Mixed- Use Housing.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Brown adjourned the meeting at 10:38 p.m.
