CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
January 11, 2023
This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom' s Executive Order N- 29- 20 and AB 361 COVID- 19 pandemic protocols.
SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Brown called the special meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 2:30 p.m. via Zoom.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown
Absent: Councilmember Arkin
PUBLIC COMMENT
Mayor Brown opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Brown closed public comment.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Adopt a resolution ratifying the City Manager/ Director of Emergency Services' Proclamation of the Existence of a Local Emergency due to severe storms
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 23- 1351 ratifying the City Manager/ Director of Emergency Services' proclamation of the existence of a local emergency due to severe storms.
2. Adopt a resolution delegating authority to the City Manager or their designee to award contracts and to execute agreements on behalf of the City for storm- related purchases during the existence of the local emergency
Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 23- 1352 delegating authority to the City Manager or their designee to award contracts and execute agreements on behalf of the City for storm- related purchases during the existence of the local emergency.
MOTION: It was m/s by Balch/ Nibert to approve the consent calendar as recommended. Motion passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmembers Balch, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Brown Noes: None
Absent: Councilmember Arkin
ADJOURNMENT— Mayor Brown adjourned the meeting at 3:00 p.m.
