Candidate Statement (200 words or less):
Please state the reasons and objectives for desiring to become a member of the Point Arena City Council.
My interest in becoming a member of the Point Arena City Council stems from my concern about land use issues and historical preservation within the city limits. The downtown historical district of Point Arena is unique and should set the architectural style for any new or redevelopment projects within the Core Commercial zoning area.
I would also like to promote the "permitted use"" not the "conditional permitted use") of "live-work" type space in the Core Commercial zone of the city. This makes sense to me as a way to both increase housing opportunities and incentivize the rehabilitation of some of the more derelict properties in the core area.
