RESOLUTION NO. 2023-03
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POINT ARENA
AUTHORIZING THE SIGNATURE AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Point Arena is a municipal government; and WHEREAS, establishing a bank account for deposit, withdrawal and investment of the City's funds is in the City's best interest; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Government Code and City of Point Arena Municipal Code, every check, draft, promissory note, money order, or other evidence of indebtedness of the City shall be signed by such individuals as are authorized by the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1) The City Council finds that the above recitals are true and correct. 2) The City Council does hereby authorize the deposit and withdrawal of the City's monies in an account(s) at Redwood Credit Union.
3) The City of Point Arena does delete the following signatory, Scott Ignacio, from the current authorized signers.
4) Mayor Barbara Burkey, Vice Mayor Anna Dobbins, Deputy City Clerk Jeana Gevas and City Manager Paul Andersen shall be authorized to order the deposit or withdrawal of monies in the Redwood Credit Union account(s), as well as to execute any check, draft, promissory note, money order, or other evidence of indebtedness of the City. 5) All checks written on City of Point Arena accounts shall require two signatures. 6) This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
