Point Arena City Council met at 451 School Street, Point Arena, and online for a Special Meeting on January 12, 2023. Vice Mayor Dobbins called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and roll call was conducted:
Councilmembers Present: Vice Mayor Anna Dobbins,
Councilmembers Jim Koogle, Jeff Hansen and Dan Doyle.
Councilmember Absent: Mayor Barbara Burkey,
Administrative Staff Present: City Manager Paul Andersen, City Attorney Giny Chandler & Deputy City Clerk Jeana Gevas
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion to approve agenda by Councilmember Koogle, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle. Motion passed 4-0 with Mayor Burkey absent.
III. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
None
IV. RESOLUTIONS
A) Resolution 2023-01 Ratifying the Existence of a Local Emergency Regarding the Winter Storms of January 2023 as Proclaimed by the City Manager/Director of Emergency Services Motion to approve Resolution 2023-01 by Councilmember Koogle, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle. Motion passed 4-0 with Mayor Burkey absent.
B) Resolution 2023-02 Allowance of Virtual Meeting per AB 361 Motion to approve Resolution 2023-01 by Councilmember Koogle, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle. Motion passed 4-0 with Mayor Burkey absent.
V. CLOSED SESSION
A) Conference with Legal Counsel – Anticipated Litigation (Sec. 54956.9(b)) The City Council provided direction to the City Attorney.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Vice Mayor Dobbins adjourned the meeting at 5:39pm
