Annual Garbage and Recycling Collection Fee Increase
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Discuss proposed Solid Waste Collection Fee Schedule effective October 1, 2023
ANALYSIS
The franchise agreement between Recology and the City of Point Arena for the provision of garbage and recycling services contains a provision for an annual rate increase based on the Bay Area Consumer Price Index (CPI) by October 1 of each year.
Last month, Recology notified the City that they intended to increase garbage collection rates by 2.9% for the period of October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.
The new rate schedule is attached.

No impact to City budget
