RESOLUTION NO. 2024-xx
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POINT ARENA
AUTHORIZING THE SIGNATURE AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Point Arena is a municipal government; and WHEREAS, establishing a bank account for deposit, withdrawal and investment of the City's funds is in the City's best interest; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Government Code and City of Point Arena Municipal Code, every check, draft, promissory note, money order, or other evidence of indebtedness of the City shall be signed by such individuals as are authorized by the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1) The City Council finds that the above recitals are true and correct. 2) The City Council does hereby authorize the deposit and withdrawal of the City's monies in an account(s) at Redwood Credit Union.
3) Mayor Barbara Burkey, Vice Mayor Anna Dobbins, and Interim City Manager Mary Ducey-Hardos (AKA Peggy Ducey) shall be authorized to order the deposit or withdrawal of monies in the Redwood Credit Union account(s), as well as to execute any check, draft, promissory note, money order, or other evidence of indebtedness of the City. 4) The City Council does hereby further authorize Interim City Manager Peggy Ducey to sign any loan documents related to any City indebtedness to Redwood Credit Union. 5) All checks written on City of Point Arena accounts shall require two signatures. 6) This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
The above and foregoing Resolution 2024- xx was passed and adopted at the meeting of the City Council of the City of Point Arena held on the 27th day of February 2024, by the following vote:
