I. CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL
Point Arena City Council met at 451 School Street, Point Arena, for a Special Meeting on Tuesday, June 27, 2024. Mayor Burkey called meeting to order at xx:xx pm; and roll call was conducted:
Councilmembers Present: Mayor Barbara Burkey, Vice Mayor Anna Dobbins, Councilmembers Jim Koogle, Jeff Hansen & Dan Doyle
Administrative Staff Present: Interim City Manager Peggy Ducey, City Attorney Baron Bettenhausen.
II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion to approve Agenda by Councilmember Koogle, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle. Motion passed unanimously.
III. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
None.
IV. BUDGET HEARING
A) Review of FY 2023-24 Budget
B) Overview of Current Financial Outlook
C) Proposed Cost-Saving Measures & Revenue Enhancements D) Adopt Resolution 2024-14 Approving Interim Expenditures City Manager Ducey provided an overview of the current budget situation. She explained the numbers for the FY 23-24 Fiscal Year are not final and requested the Council approve an interim budget and return to Council with a final budget at the July 23, 2024 meeting.
Motion to approve Resolution 2024-14 by Vice Mayor Dobbins, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle.
Motion passed unanimously 5-0.
V. ACTION ITEM
A) Contract with Archetype International to Provide Architectural Services for the CDBG Veteran’s Hall Feasibility Study
CM Ducey explained that the contract will help complete designs for Veterans Hall rehabilitation as part of the CDBG Technical & Feasibility Study.
Motion to approve contract by Councilmember Koogle, Seconded by Vice Mayor Dobbins. Motion passed unanimously 5-0.

A) Labor Negotiation, Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957: Title City Manager, Bargaining Agent: Mayor.
