I. CALL TO ORDER & ROLL CALL
Point Arena City Council met at 451 School Street, Point Arena, for a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Mayor Burkey called meeting to order at 6:00 pm; and roll call was conducted:
Councilmembers Present: Mayor Barbara Burkey, Councilmembers Jim Koogle, Jeff Hansen & Dan Doyle
Councilmembers Absent: Vice Mayor Dobbins
Administrative Staff Present: Interim City Manager Peggy Ducey, City Attorney Baron Bettenhausen II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion to approve Agenda by Councilmember Hansen, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle. Motion passed 4-0 with Vice Mayor Dobbins absent.
III. MAYOR’S REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
Sheriff Matt Kendall, L. Wyant and Deputy Jensen provided an update on law enforcement services for the month of August 2024.
Jennifer Smallwood of the Point Arena Fire Safe Council provided an update on activities.
IV. COUNCIL REPORTS
Councilmember Doyle announced the Mendocino Transit Authority meeting on August 28 will be available to the public online at City Hall and encouraged their participation.
V. CITY MANAGER/CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS
CM Ducey updated the Council on recent staffing changes and responded to negative comments about her from a member of the public at the July 24 meeting.

VII. CONSENT CALENDAR
Motion to approve Consent Calendar by Councilmember Doyle, Seconded by Councilmember Hansen.
Motion passed 4-0 with Vice Mayor Dobbins absent.

A) Resolution 2024-22 Approving the use of the Old Firehouse Located at 247 Main Street (APN# 027- 111-26) as Collateral to Secure a Term Loan in Place of Existing Line of Credit with Redwood Credit Union
Motion to approve Resolution 2024-22 by Councilmember Hansen, Seconded by Councilmember Doyle. Motion passed 4-0 with Vice Mayor Dobbins absent.
