At the March City Council meeting, Interim City Manager Ducey recommended two properties that the City would begin Code Enforcement action:
• 165 Main Street – Wildflower East Hotel
• 31 Port Road – Residential Property

11-Mar-25 Site visit and discussion of issues by Marie Jones, Planning Consultant and Jeff Hansen, property
owner
3-Apr-25 Notice of Violation and explanatory letter sent to property owner.
4-Apr-25 Phone discussion between Marie Jones and
property owner regarding clarification of violations
and abatement timeline.
31 Port Road
11-Mar-25 Site visit on street. Did not have approval to enter property.
2-Apr-25 Email from tenant/landlord describing actions he is taking to clean up the property.
4-Apr-25 Notice of Violation and explanatory letter sent to property owner, who lives out of State.
8-Apr-25 City response to landlord's email by Marie Jones explaining the requirements that must be followed
or the City will begin to assess violation fines.
16-Apr-25 City Manager and staff met with landlord to review the violations and discuss steps that need to be
taken, including abatement of abandoned vehicles
and trailer, and eviction of current tenants.
