Collections: We performed Collection System Cleaning; we jetted all the mainlines in the system. This is done yearly in order to reduce SO's, also helps to assist in predicting when each section of the collection system needs to be serviced based on prior action and SSO history. We didn't have any (SSO)'s in 2025', we haven't had any issue's in with SSO's for the past 3 or 4 years. Jetting our problem area's have reduced the overflow issue we were having when I first started here. There were a few callouts to homes in the city for backed up sewers. All of the calls ended up being the homeowners lateral that had the plug. They called a plumber as it wasn't the city's issue. We did confirm that our lines were clear and flowing properly. At the Cove lift station we had Fort Bragg electric install the new control panel that works the pumps in the well. They installed new main panel box on outside of the building that PG&E's meter hooks into.

Old one was rusted out and falling apart. Beginning of December we had a seal fail on pump 1 at Cypress Meadows lift station. Ordered and received the new rebuild kit for it.

Pump still working. When we get nicer weather and can go down to one pump at that lift station for a week or two. We will pull it and rebuild it and put it back into service. We are in the process on getting a FOG program going and ordinance set up. This is to cut down the Fats, Oil, and Grease that enters our treatment plant.

Treatment: Our treatment process has been working well. We were within all of our discharge requirements on all samples tested for the year. We also tested routine grab samples to ensure we were maintaining sufficient chlorine residuals. We have performed all our weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly maintenance on equipment and backup Generators. We did have a problem with the power at the plant during the power outage right before the holidays. I thought it was PG&E's fault. It ended up being the transfer switch that Ft Bragg Electric installed. They found a piece of cardboard behind the Arce shield on one of the three legs there. It is fixed and tested and all good now. We had our yearly calibration on our influent flow meter, no issues with it. Currently updating our O & M manual to comply with state requirements. We are currently trying to secure a engineering firm to complete our proposed upgrades that SHN started and didn't complete. This is for our collection system and plant upgrades. Hoping to secure funding once the plans are complete. Then begin the project soon after. Hoping by 2029' to break ground.

Discharge: The treatment plant's effluent is pumped to four percolation ponds south of the treatment plant. These ponds are maintained by yearly breaking up of the sand and gravel mixture in the bottom of the ponds with a single tooth harrow that breaks the bottom to a depth of 2' 6". We performed this routine maintenance on the ponds in June and July and August each year.

Soldani Spring box has no flow; if and when it starts to flow, we will resume testing.
