RESOLUTION NO. 2022-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF ONE (1) NEW POLICE K-9 IN AN IN-KIND AMOUNT OF $10,500 FROM THE ROTARY CLUB WHEREAS, the Pomona Police Department’s K-9 Program is funded through the Police Department General Fund. Majority of all K-9’s in the program have been donations from the community, the success of the program is only possible through their generosity and support; WHEREAS, the Pomona Police Department received a new K-9 donation in an in-kind amount of $10,500 from the Rotary Club; and WHEREAS, the authority to accept and the donated K-9 in an in-kind amount of $10,500 from the Rotary Club is vested with the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby accepts the in-kind donation of (1) one K-9, Labrador Retriever valued at $10,500 from the Rotary Club to help sustain the Pomona Police Departments’ K-9 program.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
