We are requesting $1,500 and hoping we are granted funds for finger printing..we are required by Little League to do back ground checks on all Board Members and Coaches through the Megan Law also.

We at Pomona American Little League host to over 400 kids. We are by far the biggest youth Baseball league in Pomona. This donation will help with the cost of the finger printing Ins. Light Bill thru the city avg $14000.00 a year, also balls, equipment equipment. And snack bar supplies. We have fundraisers throughout the year to help the City.
We have a food drive and Toy drive every year and supply the House of Ruth in Pomona.. this year we gave them over 500.00 worth of food and also over 100 * What is the benefit to the City of Pomona? (An expenditure of public funds must be for primary benefit of the public agency that is making the expenditure)
We at Pomona American Little League help and benefit the City of Pomona by keeping over 400 kids busy playing baseball and the girls Softball.. it benefits the city especially the at risk kids to keep them off the streets and away from trouble..we have had over the years since I've been President 7 kids get drafted to the Major League Baseball.. most resent my Nephew Vince Velasquez who is now playing for the San Diego Padres. We have good coaches and board members who work hard..its all for kid I, Mayor/Councilmember _______________________________, District No. _______, hereby request that the above donation/payment be made and that a finding of public benefit be determined by the City Council.

The purpose is for the maintenance/repair, stocking, and any related costs for Little Free Libraries within the City * What is the benefit to the City of Pomona? (An expenditure of public funds must be for primary benefit of the public agency that is making the expenditure)
The benefit is that Little Free Libraries promote literacy and increase access to books and educational materials throughout the City.
