A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FY 2021-22 OPERATING BUDGET TO ACCEPT FUNDS FROM THE LA COUNTY ELDERLY NUTRITION GRANT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $202,118, INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SENIOR NUTRITION GRANT FUND AND APPROVE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH BETTER 4 YOU MEALS, INC. TO INCREASE THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT BY $453,221 FOR A CONTRACT AMOUNT TOTALING $603,221 WHEREAS, the City’s Elderly Nutrition Program continues to provide free, nutritious meals to senior adults and adults with disabilities; and, WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS) provides reimbursement-based grant funding to the Elderly Nutrition Program and has allocated an additional $55,000 to the City in FY 2021-22.
WHEREAS, the FY 2021-22 Operating Budget currently includes County provided grant revenue and expenditures for the Elderly Nutrition Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council accepts the County of Los Angeles WDACS allocation of $55,000 for the FY 2021-22 for the Elderly Nutrition Program.
SECTION 2. That the City Council amends the Fiscal Year 2021-22 City Operating Budget for the Elderly Nutrition Grant Fund (Fund 226) to receive, appropriate and increase revenue amounts in the amount $55,000 for the WDACS allocation and $147,118 from the prior year (FY 2020-21) CDA CARES funding allocation totaling $202,118.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
