A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX B OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE POMONA MID-MANAGEMENT / CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION AND AMENDING THE WATER RESOURCES DEPARTMENT AUTHORIZED STAFFING LEVELS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2021-22 OPERATING BUDGET TO DELETE THE POSITION OF DISTRIBUTION AND WASTEWATER SUPERVISOR AND ADD THE POSITIONS OF WATER DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR AND WASTEWATER SYSTEM SUPERVISOR WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona classifications; WHEREAS, on October 18, 2021 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-141 adopting the 2021-2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pomona and the Pomona Mid-Management/Confidential Employees’ Association (PMMCEA), which also established a Roster of PMMCEA Classifications; WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently amended certain provisions of the MOU by resolution numbers 2021-170; WHEREAS, on June 7, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution 2021-69 adopting the City of Pomona Operating Budget, which included authorized staffing levels; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix B of the aforementioned MOU and the authorized staffing levels by the actions provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to Appendix B of the PMMCEA MOU by deleting and adding the classifications indicated below:

SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby approves amending authorized staffing levels within the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Operating Budget by deleting one (1) Distribution and Wastewater Operations Supervisor position and adding one (1) Water Distribution Supervisor and one (1) Wastewater System Supervisor in the Water Resources Department.
SECTION 3. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 4. The action approved herein shall become effective March 13, 2022.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
