A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT GROUP A AND B EMPLOYEES AND AMENDING AUTHORIZED STAFFING LEVELS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2021-022 OPERATIONG BUDGET BY RECLASSIFYING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR TO INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR IN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges to the Compensation Plan for Executive Management Group A and B Employees (A-B Plan) of the City of Pomona; WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to amend the staffing allocations; WHEREAS, on February 7, 2022 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-25 amending the A-B Plan; WHEREAS, on June 7, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution 2021-69 adopting the City of Pomona Operating Budget, which included authorized staffing levels; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix A of the aforementioned Plan and the authorized staffing levels by the actions provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby amends Appendix A of the A-B Plan by deleting the classification of Information Technology Director and adding the classification of Innovation and Technology Director as shown below:

SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby approves amending authorized staffing levels within the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Operating Budget by reclassifying one (1) Information Technology Director position to Innovation and Technology Director in the Information Technology Department.
SECTION 3. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 4. The action approved herein shall become effective March 13, 2022.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
