RESOLUTION NO. 2022-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2021-22 CITY OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,660,695 FOR YEAR 2 OF THE PERMANENT LOCAL HOUSING ALLOCATION PROGRAM (PLHA) WHEREAS, on September 22, 2021, the City submitted its application for Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program Formula Allocation, Year 2, to the California Housing and Community Development Department in the amount of $1,660,695; WHEREAS, on November 15, 2021, notification was received that the City of Pomona was awarded a PLHA program award of $1,660,695 for the following activities: development, rehabilitation, preservation of affordable rental and ownership housing, including accessory dwelling units; matching portions of funds placed into regional housing trust funds; and for homeownership opportunities, including down payment assistance.
WHEREAS, under the PLHA Program, up to 5% of the Program Award may be used for Administration Costs; WHEREAS, on June 7, 2021, the City Council adopted the FY 2021-2022 City Operating Budget; and, WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to amend the FY 2021-2022 Adopted Operating Budget to appropriate the PLHA Program Year 2 Award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pomona, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council amends the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 City Operating Budget to increase revenue estimates and appropriate $1,660,695 in Permanent Local Housing Allocation Program funds, with revenue and expenditure details provided below:
