A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE CORRIDORS SPECIFIC PLAN IN-LIEU FEE PAYMENT OF $286,710 FROM GREYSTAR FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ALONG A PORTION OF GAREY AVENUE, AND AMENDING THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATING THE $286,710 IN-LIEU FEE PAYMENT TO “GAREY AVENUE REHABILITATION - ALISO STREET TO MONTEREY AVENUE,” PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-68573 WHEREAS, the City of Pomona (City) wishes to amend the 2021-22 CIP Budget by receiving a Corridors Specific Plan (CSP) in-lieu fee in the amount of $286,710 from Greystar, increasing revenue estimates (428-2590-40918-68573) and appropriating $286,710 to “Garey Avenue Rehabilitation - Aliso Street to Monterey Avenue,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68573 (428-2590-66196-68573); and WHEREAS, the lineal footage of the Greystar project frontage along Garey Avenue is 503 feet, and required CSP improvements are estimated at a cost of $286,710; and WHEREAS, public improvements on Garey Avenue along the Greystar project frontage were recently completed by the City and as such, the in-lieu fee will be applied to the newly created “Garey Avenue Rehabilitation - Aliso Street to Monterey Avenue,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68573; and WHEREAS, the Pomona City Charter requires that amendments to the Adopted CIP Budget be approved by the City Council by Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves and accepts the estimated in-lieu fee payment of $286,710 from Greystar for certain public improvements along a portion of Garey Avenue and the City Council amends the FY 2021-22 CIP Budget by increasing revenue estimates (428-2590-40918-68573) and appropriating $286,710 to “Garey Avenue Rehabilitation - Aliso Street to Monterey Avenue,” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68573 (428-2590-66196-68573).
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
