RESOLUTION NO. 2022-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH (DMH) IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $352,000 PER FISCAL YEAR WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (DMH) will provide assistance in crisis intervention, homeless outreach and mental health treatment; and WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health Agreement will fund (2) Mental Health Clinicians for the OATH Initiative program.
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health Agreement will not exceed 352,000 per fiscal year.
WHEREAS, The duration of this agreement will be for the duration of the program beginning February 28, 2022 through June 30, 2024 with an option to extend for one(1) additional fiscal year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby approves entering into an Agreement with DMH to provide two (2) mental health clinicians to assist with crisis intervention, provide homeless outreach and mental health treatment for the OATH initiative; SECTION 2. The duration of this agreement will beginning February 28, 2022 and will extend until June 30, 2024 with an optional one (1) fiscal year extension with an amount not to exceed $ 352,000 per fiscal year SECTION 3. That City Clerk shall attest to and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall be effective immediately upon its approval.
