A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2021-22 CITY OPERATING BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000,000 FOR THE HEALTHY HOMES PRODUCTION GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, on September 20, 2021, the Neighborhood Services Department applied for the Healthy Homes Production Grant Program through the Department of Housing and Urban Development – Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes; WHEREAS, on January 20, 2022, notification was received that the City of Pomona was awarded a grant in the amount of $2,000,000 for the Healthy Homes Production Program; WHEREAS, on June 7, 2021, the City Council adopted the FY 2021-22 City Operating Budget; WHEREAS, the Healthy Homes Production Program encouraged Cities to contribute match resources to expand the benefits of the program and to show the City’s capacity to implement the program; and, WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Services Department desires to accept the Healthy Homes Production Grant Program award and to amend the Fiscal Year 2021-22 City Operating Budget by increasing revenue estimates and appropriations in the amount of $2,000,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pomona, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council amends the Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22 City Operating Budget to increase revenue estimates and appropriate $2,000,000 in Federal Funds for the Healthy Homes Production Program, with revenue and expenditure details provided below:

SECTION 2. The City will provide in-kind match to the program totaling $245,700, representing a portion of time spent by the Housing Grants Supervisor on the Program for a 3 and a half year period. The City’s in-kind match is shown below:

SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to negotiate and execute all related documents to receive the grant funds and implement the funded activities.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage of this resolution and it shall thereupon take effect and be in full force.
