It is recommended that:
A Preview of the Preliminary FY 2022-23 General Fund Budget is presented to the Mayor and City Council to receive feedback for the FY 2022-23 General Fund Budget.
Residents and Businesses are encouraged to provide feedback on the FY 2022-23 General Fund budget during public comment.
Mayor and City Council receive and file a recommendation from the Citizens Oversight Committee (COC) regarding the FY 2022-23 General Fund Budget as it relates to the COC responsibilities to provide written reports as part of their role monitoring the City of Pomona’s Measure PG sales tax revenue.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On March 30, 2022 the City Council was provided a preview of the Preliminary FY 2022-23 General Fund Budget. The same presentation that was presented on March 30, 2022 will be provided to the public on April 6, 2022 at 3:00pm via zoom meeting format. The City Council report that was presented on March 30, 2022 is included with this report (Attachment No. 1). The presentation that will be conducted on April 6, 2022 is included with the report (Attachment No. 3). City staff has promoted these two budget study sessions to various outlets in the Community to encourage citizen feedback during the budget process.
