RESOLUTION NO. 2022-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING $4,000 IN MISCELLANEOUS MINI-GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY AND THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LIBRARY COOPERATIVE AND AMENDING FY 2021-22 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to provide Pomona residents with quality Library programs and services; and, WHEREAS, The Pomona Public Library applies for and receives various miscellaneous grant and mini-grant funds throughout the fiscal year to support Library programs and services; and, WHEREAS, Recently the Library staff has applied for and been approved to receive miscellaneous Library mini-grant funds from the California State Library and the Southern California Library Cooperative totaling $4,000 for this request period; and, WHEREAS, In accordance with Sections 37354 & 37355 of the California Government Code, the legislative body may accept or reject any gift, bequest or devise, may to, or for the City; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends the Adopted FY 2021-22 Operating Budget by accepting California State Library Grant Funds for the “Zip Books” program in the amount of $3500.00, increasing revenue estimates (101-4501-40873-00000) and appropriating (101-4501-52610-00000) $3500.00 to fund the Zip Books Program.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby amends the Adopted FY 2021-22 Operating Budget by accepting Southern California Library Cooperative Grant Funds for the “Dia de Los Niños/Dia de Los Libros” program in the amount of $500, increasing revenue estimates (101-4501-40873-00000) and appropriating (101-4501-52282-00000) $500 to fund the Dia De Los Niños/Dia de Los Libros Programs.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
