RESOLUTION NO. 2022-82
A Resolution OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, california, Approving the Preserve Pomona Awards program for Historic Preservation WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission, in a continued effort to promote the benefits of the City’s Historic Preservation Program, recommend the creation of an annual awards program; and WHEREAS, an annual awards program will showcase outstanding examples of historic preservation in the City of Pomona; and WHEREAS, an annual awards program will encourage the restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation of Pomona’s historic places; and WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered any pertinent testimony and the staff report offered in the case presented at the City Council meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the creation of the Preserve Pomona Awards Program for Historic Preservation.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
