RESOLUTION NO. 2022-52
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING THE SCHEDULE FOR CONDUCTING CITYWIDE YARD SALES WHEREAS, as recently amended by Ordinance No. 4313 at second reading on April 18, 2022, Article XII of the Pomona City Code regulating the conducting of Citywide Yard Sales calls for the establishment of a schedule of Citywide Yard Sale Weekends by City Council resolution; and WHEREAS, prior to modification by Ordinance No. 4313, Article XII of the Pomona City Code established that Citywide Quarterly Yard Sales were permitted on the first weekend in the months of March, June, September and December; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to maintain the previous schedule for conducting Citywide Yard Sales for the remainder of Calendar Year 2022; and WHEREAS, effective in 2023, the City Council wishes to modify the schedule to allow for conducting of Citywide Quarterly Yard Sales on the first weekend in the months of February, May, August and November.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Pomona hereby confirms that Quarterly Citywide Yard Sales may be conducted on the first weekend in the months of June, September and December, 2022.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Pomona hereby establishes the first weekends in the months of February, May, August and November for the conduct of Quarterly Citywide Yard Sales beginning in 2023 and every year thereafter, unless the schedule is otherwise modified by subsequent resolution.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
