RESOLUTION NO. 2022-50
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATION TO NAME THE CITY COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM, LOCATED SOUTH OF THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, THE CHUCK BADER CONFERENCE ROOM WHEREAS, the City of Pomona has adopted a policy and procedure for naming of a City-owned facility in recognition of individuals who have greatly contributed to the quality of life in Pomona: and, WHEREAS, Pomona citizen, former Mayor Chuck Bader has met the eligibility criteria contained in the policy and after due consideration has been recommended by the Community Life Commission for the dedication of City-owned facility in their name; and, WHEREAS, the requested City-owned facility, the City Council Conference Room, has not been previously dedicated to any person or organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby dedicates the City Council Conference Room in honor of Chuck Bader, which shall forthwith be known as “The Chuck Bader Conference Room”.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and it shall thereupon be in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. Upon the passage of this resolution, the City Clerk shall forward a copy of same to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Government Code Section 34092.
