RESOLUTION NO. 2022-78
A Resolution OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, california, AUTHORIZING THE GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE WELL 34 WELLHEAD TREATMENT WHEREAS, the City of Pomona proposes to implement the Well 34 Wellhead Treatment project (“Project”); WHEREAS, the City of Pomona has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation; and WHEREAS, City of Pomona intends to apply for grant funding with the Bureau of Reclamation for the Project.
WHEREAS, the City of Pomona confirms it has sufficient financial capability to meet the Bureau of Reclamation’s cost share requirements if awarded a grant for Well 34 Wellhead Treatment Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1.
1. That pursuant and subject to all of the terms and provisions of Budget Act of 2021 (Stats. 2021, Ch. 240, § 80), the City of Pomona’s City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file an application for funding with the Bureau of Reclamation, and take such other actions necessary or appropriate to obtain grant funding.
3. The City of Pomona’s City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed to submit any required documents, invoices, and reports required to obtain grant funding.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
