RESOLUTION NO. 2022-97
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX B OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE POMONA MID-MANAGEMENT / CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION TO ADD EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, HOUSING GRANTS COORDINATOR, WATER PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR AND WATER TREATMENT SUPERVISOR AND DELETE PRODUCTION AND TREATMENT SUPERVISOR WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona classifications; WHEREAS, on October 18, 2021 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-141 adopting the 2021-2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pomona and the Pomona Mid-Management/Confidential Employees’ Association (PMMCEA), which also established a Roster of PMMCEA Classifications; WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently amended certain provisions of the MOU by resolution numbers 2021-170, 2022-35, and 2022-69; WHEREAS, on June 6, 2022, the City Council will adopt the Fiscal Year 2022-23 City of Pomona Operating Budget, which includes authorized staffing levels; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix B of the aforementioned MOU by the actions provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to Appendix B of the PMMCEA MOU by adding and deleting the classifications indicated below:

SECTION 2. Water Treatment Supervisor shall have two tiers. Tier 1 (T1) shall be for the incumbent in the position as of July 3, 2022 and shall be at salary range MC-082. Tier 2 (T2) shall be for incumbents who are subsequently appointed to the position by any means (e.g. new hire, promotion) after July 3, 2022 and shall be at salary range MC-079.
SECTION 3. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 4. The action approved herein shall become effective July 3, 2022.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
