RESOLUTION NO. 2022-122
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING APPENDIX B OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE POMONA MID-MANAGEMENT / CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION TO MODIFY THE POSITIONS OF WATER TREATMENT AND QUALITY CREW CHIEF, WATER TREATMENT AND QUALITY SUPERVISOR, FLEET SERVICES SUPERVISOR, ONE ASSISTANT/ ASSOCIATE/ CIVIL ENGINEER, ADDING A PUBLIC INFORMATION COORDINATOR, AND AMENDING THE FLEXIBLE STAFFING PROVISIONS WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to create, classify and assign salary scales/ranges for all City of Pomona classifications; WHEREAS, on October 18, 2021 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2021-141 adopting the 2021-2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Pomona and the Pomona Mid-Management/Confidential Employees’ Association (PMMCEA), which also established a Roster of PMMCEA Classifications; WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently amended certain provisions of the MOU by resolution numbers 2021-170, 2022-35, 2022-69 and 2022-97; WHEREAS, on June 6, 2022, the City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2022-23 City of Pomona Operating Budget, which includes authorized staffing levels; and WHEREAS, in order to meet department staffing needs, the City Council desires to amend Appendix B and other provisions in the aforementioned MOU by the actions provided herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Pomona as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to Appendix B of the PMMCEA MOU by adding and deleting the classifications indicated below:

SECTION 2. Approve the amendment to the 2022-2023 PMMCEA MOU regarding the Flexible Staffing provisions attached hereto as “Exhibit A.” SECTION 3. That any portion of previously adopted resolutions concerning salaries inconsistent with this Resolution shall be deemed repealed.
SECTION 4. Classifications and salaries marked with strikethrough shall remain in effect until August 13, 2022. The action approved herein shall become effective August 14, 2022.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
